Abi Wycherley is the County Council’s ‘Violence Against Women and Girls Coordinator’ and alongside overseeing the delivery of Oxfordshire’s Domestic Abuse training programme, she also delivers some of the training herself. Abi is clearly instrumental in keeping the DV programme on track and moving as numbers attending the training is growing.
To quote Abi: “Developing, organising and delivering good quality, engaging training is what sets my soul on fire! Coordinating Oxfordshire’s domestic abuse training programme requires me to think about what our workforce needs to respond safely and appropriately, and how we can best keep them up to date on legislation and leading practice.
Whether it’s enabling our specialist services to share their expertise through our training programme or developing and delivering sessions myself – I really enjoy giving people the opportunity to get inspired and excited to learn more, and to feel more confident in working with domestic abuse”
